Snapping Options
Snapping options can be set by clicking on the arrow next to the Selector tool. Note that locating all intersections between elements can take time on large patterns so it’s best to turn that feature off unless you need or are generally working on simple patterns.
Element Snapping
All of the options in the Element Snapping relate to element snapping in general. More specific options are in the sections below.
Guide Snapping
All of the options in the Guide Snapping section relate to the Guides.
Radial Snapping
All of the options in the Radical Snapping section relate to endpoint radial snapping. The delta degree is how many degrees are between each snap point. In the example below, the first picture has the degree set to 45, the second picture has the degree set to 75.
Grid Snapping
All of the options in the Grid Snapping section relate to the snapping to the grid. These options only work when the grid is turned on. To learn more about the grid, refer to the Grid page.
When snapping to the grid, the coordinates of where you are snapping to on the grid will display.
Rotation Snapping
All of the options in the Rotation Snapping section relate to rotating an element. The delta degree is how many degrees an element will be rotated when holding down the alt key. In the example below, the first picture has the degree set to 10 and the second picture has the degree set to 30.
