Guides

Guide buttons

Guides are useful for creating temporary snap locations. You can snap to any guide, or to the intersection of a guide and any other element. Guides can be horizontal/vertical, at any angle, tangent to any point, or any distance from a point. Snapping is active by default when using the Guide tool. It is not necessary to hold the Ctrl key down.

Grid tools are available at the bottom of the Pattern Editor window.
