Getting Started

Minimum Specs

For PatternSmith to run, a computer must have these minimum specs:

  • Windows 7 or newer
  • Quad Core Intel i5 CPU or better
  • 8GB RAM
  • 1 GB Hard Drive Space for Software
  • DirectX 10 Graphics or better with a dedicated graphics card
  • 1024 x 768 Screen Resolution or better
  • Ethernet port for machine connection
  • Internet connection is strongly recommended for better technical support
  • Separate network card (NIC) for running a plotter or AVM

For the best performance and experience, the computer running PatternSmith should have these minimum specs:

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11
  • Quad Core Intel i5 CPU or better
  • 16GB RAM
  • Solid State Drive (SSD)
  • 1 GB Hard Drive Space for Software
  • DirectX 10 Graphics or better with a dedicated graphics card
  • 1920 x 1080 Screen Resolution or better
  • Ethernet port for machine connection
  • Internet connection is strongly recommended for better technical support
  • Separate network card (NIC) for running a plotter or AVM.

Note

If no dedicated graphics card is detected, the minimum RAM requirement is 12GB. A warning will be shown if the system has less memory than this and no dedicated graphics card.
