Fillet

Fillet replace tools dropdown menu

The Fillet tools give you multiple different ways to place an arc or Bezier curve tangent to two lines or polylines.

Arc Fillet

Select the Arc Fillet tool on the ribbon or press the F key.

Arc fillet button

There are two ways to use the Arc Fillet tool, Arc Fillet with Custum radius and Arc Fillet with Measured Radius.

Arc fillet element tool window

The Arc Fillet with Custom Radius joins two line/polylines with an arc with the specified radius, tangent to both neighbors. The elements do not have to meet at a point.

Select an element on one side of the desired fillet. Mouse over the other element to see the preview fillet. Click to accept it.

The Arc Fillet with Measured Radius will place an arc fillet between two elements that approximates an existing line, polyline, arc, or spline between them.

Select the polyline or spline that you want to replace, as well as both its neighbors. The three elements must share endpoints. Mouse over the middle element. PatternSmith will measure the radius and show you a preview. Click to accept the replacement fillet.
