Expanders

Expanders move all points on one side relative to the Expanders’ position in the pattern. When an expander is selected, click inside the pattern at the location where you want to place the Expander. As you move your mouse to either side of the line, you’ll see arrows at the ends change direction. Click on one side or the other to indicate the direction you want to Expander to move Template points. With the Expander selected, use the Tool Window dropdown to associate a Parameter with the new Expander.

Horizontal Expander

The Horizontal Expander will move all points to the right or left of the line by the value of the parameter.

Vertical Expander

The Vertical Expander will move all points above or below the line by the value of the parameter.

Using Expanders

This expander will move all points to the right of the line by the value of the parameter.

When you click Apply Variables, you will see the original pattern in gray, with all points to the right of the Expander line moved.
