CadShot

Overview

CadShot offers a quick and easy way to turn a paper or fabric pattern into a CAD pattern, from a photo of the pattern taken using a fixed mount camera or flatbed scanner.

CadShot removes skew and lens distortion, then finds the edges of the pattern, and shows the photo with a polyline perimeter for further editing and final processing. The pattern can be exported to PatternSmith (.cadshot), DXF (.dxf, readable by most CAD systems), and PDF. If PatternSmith is being used for final processing, the background image will be included and one more click will replace the polylines with smooth elements.

CadShot requires the Autometrix Vision Module (AVM) to capture the image of the printed media.
