Upon opening Slicer, you will see that it has already sliced your pattern based on default settings. Using Slicer’s tools, adjust the slice lines within your patterns prior to returning the sliced patterns to PatternSmith.

Slice will complete the slicing and return the sliced pattern to PatternSmith.

Cancel

Cancel will discard changes and return to PatternSmith.

Lines

When in Slicer, you can manually move each line. Lock and Unlock will change when you are allowed to move each line.

Lock

Locks the position of a slice line. You will not be able to move the line when Lock is togged. You can either click the Lock button or double-click an unlocked line to lock it.

Unlock

If a line is locked, you can unlock it by clicking the Unlock button or by double-clicking. The line will now be able to move freely within the limits of the current settings.

Reset Spacing

From Left

Will start the slice lines from the left side of the pattern.

From Center

Will start slice lines from the center/midline.

Center Panel

Will create a central panel with additional slices repeating outward on either side.

Zoom

Zoom To Fit

Zooms the view to fit the pattern. You can also press Ctrl + Spacebar to Zoom to Fit.

Zoom In will zoom the view in. You can also hold Ctrl and click or use the Mouse Wheel to zoom in.

Zoom Out

Zoom Out will zoom the view out. You can also use the Mouse Wheel to zoom out.
