Create labels for patterns example

In an order file, there can be multiple products from the same order ID. If you want all the products from the same order ID to be grouped together, check the Use the Same Color For All Patterns In an Order box.

Nesting

Nesting preferences section

Enable Forge Autonesting when an order is sent to PatternSmith by checking the Enable Forge Autonesting box.

If the Show Nesting Options box is checked, a screen will appear when sending orders to a destination. This screen will ask you about an Alignment layer and the Nest Length you want to use. If this box is unchecked, the nesting length will be the Default Nest Length set in Workflow.

The Maximum Duration is the max amount of time Forge Autonesting will take to find the most efficient nest.

Desired Efficiency is how efficient the nest will be.

Allow Flipped Copies allows Forge to flip copies to make the nest more efficient.

Enable placement groups during the Forge process by checking the Group Copies by Placement Groups box.

Enable Group Mixing will allow Forge to mix placement groups.

If Enable Group Mixing is on, you can specify how many nested groups to mix into when nesting the current group with the Mixed Group Count. The higher the number, the more efficient the nest will become.

Turn on and off the alignment layer is PatternSmith with the Alignment Layer dropdown. In the dropdown, you can select Primary or Secondary alignment.

Alignment Direction dictates which way the patterns will be aligned in PatternSmith.

The Snap Horizontal and Snap Vertical check boxes will enable/disable snapping when a Workflow order is processed in PatternSmith.

This is the Default Nest Length that Workflow will use for the Forge process.

Target Bite Size only applies if you have a Catalyst machine. The Bite Size is how far the machine will cut until the belt is moved. To learn more about Bite Size, refer to the PatternSmith Help Guide.
